Emfatitzar adjectius

Per fer les redaccions, és recomanable no posar només un adjectiu o adverbi sol, podeu utilizar modificadors, alguna partícula que fagi que l'adjectiu o l'adverbi tingui més èmfasi.

Per expressar una gran diferència:

• Far/a lot/much + comparative: He is far better than the other singers in the band (Ell és molt millor que els altres cantants de la banda). The food is a lot nicer in this café (El menjar és molt millor en aquest bar). The festival is much more popular this year (El festival és molt més popular aquest any).
• By far/easily + superlative: He is by far the best singer in the band (Ell es amb diferència el millor cantant a la banda). The festival is easily the most popular in the country (El festival és clarament el més popular del país).
• Not early as ..... as : This party is not early as good as last year's (Aquesta festa no és ni molt menys tan bona com la de l'últim any). This is not early as good a party as last year's (Això no és ni molt menys tan bo com la festa de l'any passat).

Per expressar una petita diferència:

• Slightly/a bit/a little + comparative: The music is slightly better than before (La música és lleugerament millor que la d'abans). The concert was a bit/a little better than I expected.
• Just about + superlative: It was just about the longest carnival procession ever.
• Nearly/not quite as ..... as : The first show was nearly as good as the second one ( El primer espectacle va ser aproximadament tan bo com el segon). The weather isn't quite as hot as it was last time (El temps no és suficient calorós com va ser la última vegada).
